The symbolic meaning of the infection is announced from the very beginning through footage and words to be 'rage', and the violence induced by it henceforward becomes the centre of the film's criticism. But what adds to the film's complexity is the fact that the protagonist is empowered only by rage to fight for those he loves and defeat the purposeless soldiers, who by contrast fight for nothing but themselves. The film thus indicates a place for violence in humanity and hints that violence is not inherently the abject. It also draws a comparison between two archetypes of fatherhood: permissive & autocratic

李灿森把女中学生摔出公交车，没饭吃的英军给黑道打工，张sir难以理解的跋扈和被上司像狗一样训斥，回归日抢银行撞车…传递了“香港价值观因为回归就彻底崩塌了”这样可疑的理念。手法直白浅陋，台词简单粗暴，历史镜头的使用让大陆观众感慨，当年会错意，表错情。陈果一心把解放军入港拍出苏联入侵捷克的效果，可能成品和他内心构想还有着难以（拉到投资）逾越的障碍。

#TIFF2023#想法和角度都很好，Paul B. Preciado自己也表示这部作品在某种程度上也是serendipity的产物，而对于“Orlando”的革新演绎以及与Virginia Wolf的假想对话，也不能消解本片某种程度上目的性的不明朗而带来的政治沮丧--Preciado说不想在电影做学术输出，却还是在trans performativity和theater of queerness的领域去挑战历史与建制（甚至去年的Framing of Agnes做的更好）。不过我们是该想想对于trans media来说post performativity到底意味着什么，当radical变成normalcy,我们的抵抗与宣言又该去向何方。
